While mobile coverage is becoming increasingly important for customers, Tre had always had a problem with credibility on this issue in Sweden. To still be associated with good coverage, we approached it by not talking about frequencies and technologies, but to focus on the one image that really represented good coverage – the bars on your phone. Through small adjustments, we made them change shape to affect their meaning and make them ambiguous, funny and current, allowing us to talk about coverage in a relevant context.
